Lead Program and Portfolio Manager

Role Overview

• Ensures regular business alignment and prioritization of demand with resource and budgetary capacity
• Collaborates with cross functional teams
• Periodically reviews status of projects and makes adjustments as necessary
• Establishes, maintains, and provides management reporting using appropriate metrics
• Ensures effective communication with project sponsors, project managers, functional and resource managers, and other stakeholders
• Engages key stakeholders to evaluate proposed and ongoing projects based on value, risk, effort, cost and strategic alignment
• Provides formal training and support for project and portfolio management
• Develops and maintains governance tools, templates, guidelines, procedures and processes
• Leads with influence and expertise
• Actively contributes to division or department leadership team
• Communicates and supports organization mission, vision, values, policies, and practices

Requirements

• Demonstrated experience providing customer-driven solutions, support or service
• Extensive experience with project/program and portfolio management tools, methods and practices
• Demonstrated experience effectively communicating with senior leaders
• Demonstrated experience with budget, metrics and other operational analyses
• Solid knowledge and understanding of operational and strategic planning
