Role Overview
- Design and implement a scalable data governance framework
- Build and maintain tools/APIs to automate data quality monitoring
- Drive data stewardship initiatives and promote accountability
- Develop and automate metadata management systems
- Build and maintain data lineage frameworks
- Ensure compliance with data privacy regulations such as GDPR
- Partner with cross-functional teams to implement governance practices
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of governance policies
Requirements
- 6+ Years of experience in data engineering or similar roles
- Strong programming skills in Python
- 3+ years of experience in data governance or data management
- Hands-on experience with data governance tools like Alation
- Experience with data quality tools such as Monte Carlo
- Solid understanding of data modeling, data lineage, and data classification
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
- Experience with data integration tools (e.g., Fivetran)
