Perform electrical design at the product level, including component selection, thermal considerations, mechanical packaging support, and interconnection hardware design
Apply expertise in analog and digital circuits, magnetics, and thermal systems
Develop technical specifications and engineering documentation for power protection equipment
Design power and control circuits for switchboards
Create and maintain design documentation, including schematics and bills of materials (BOMs)
Assist with the integration of third-party components into power distribution systems
Support the development of manufacturing documentation, test procedures, and technical reports
Provide ongoing engineering support for both new and existing products
Troubleshoot systems and subsystems through hands-on analysis
Assist with product certification processes in coordination with NRTL organizations (UL, CSA, IEC standards)
Requirements
Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (BSEE)
Minimum of 2 years of experience in electrical design and development
Master's degree in Electrical Engineering (MSEE)
Experience designing UL 891 switchboards
Familiarity with ECNs, BOMs, documentation systems, AutoCAD, and ERP platforms
Experience using electrical engineering tools such as oscilloscopes, network analyzers, and signal generators
Knowledge of three-phase power systems and electrical distribution
Strong written communication and documentation skills
Hands-on lab experience with strong troubleshooting abilities
Familiarity with UL, CSA, and IEC safety and EMC standards for power systems
Understanding of environmental, reliability, and safety requirements for industrial and commercial applications
