About this role
Role Overview
Develop, support, and maintain SQL jobs and SSMS packages for data imports, exports, and transformations
Monitor database systems and Airflow for performance and respond promptly to system outages or disruptions
Provide ongoing maintenance of database refreshes
Design and implement standards for data storage, workflow, maintenance, access, and security administration
Diagnose and resolve system errors and other database-related issues
Run and analyze reports to identify common issues, complaints, and areas for improvement
Install or update database software to address issues, improve functionality, and ensure compatibility with other systems
Perform other duties as assigned, contributing to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the Analytics department
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, CIS, Computer Science, Software Development, Mathematics or a related field
Relevant work experience can be considered in lieu of a degree
Relevant certifications are highly desirable, including certifications focused on database management (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Azure Database Administrator Associate)
Experience working in a dental or healthcare-related organization is a plus
Extensive experience with SQL Server, including SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS), SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS), SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS), and SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS)
Proficiency in cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure
Strong scripting abilities, particularly in PowerShell
Proven expertise in designing and managing ETL processes
Strong skills in database design, modeling, and optimization
Comprehensive knowledge of database security best practices
