Mid-level Integration Web Developer – Ensemble, Caché

Role Overview

• Understand, analyze and refine functional and non-functional requirements related to integrations with Shift solutions;
• Estimate development effort and support technical planning of deliveries together with leadership;
• Develop and maintain integrations using approved tools and patterns, ensuring adherence to business rules and solution architecture;
• Continuously maintain and evolve technical documentation, ensuring it is up to date and reliable;
• Identify, analyze and fix defects in code, working on debugging and stabilizing integrations and other Shift solutions;
• Execute unit tests to ensure quality and compliance with defined standards;
• Propose technical improvements and product enhancements, and handle incident resolution and urgent client requests;
• Collaborate with business areas to clarify requirements and suggest functional improvements;
• Support the development of more junior professionals (interns, trainees and analysts) by sharing knowledge and providing technical guidance;
• Record and track time entries throughout the development cycle;
• Identify and communicate impediments and risks that may impact schedules and deliveries;
• Ensure the quality of deliveries by following processes, standards and best practices;
• Investigate and act on root-cause identification for issues that impact solution quality;
• Ensure compliance with defined project deadlines, scope, quality and costs;
• Perform code reviews, contributing to the quality and standardization of deliveries;
• Participate in technical code inspections, collaborating on approval or rejection of software artifacts;
• When necessary, engage in pair programming to promote knowledge sharing and increase development efficiency.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or a related field;
• Experience in developing and maintaining integrations, preferably in healthcare, ERP or tax systems;
• Mandatory experience with the InterSystems Ensemble platform and with Caché ObjectScript (COS);
• Knowledge of object-oriented programming;
• Experience with databases and SQL;
• Basic knowledge of web technologies (JavaScript, HTML and CSS);
• Experience with other InterSystems technologies (such as IRIS, ZEN, etc.) is a plus.
