Role Overview
- Ensure stability and high quality of Xero's databases
- Provide expertise on maintenance, optimisations and incident support
- Influence the modernisation of Xero's data infrastructure
- Advise product teams on database design and architecture for new initiatives
- Coach other engineers
Requirements
- Experience with postgres Aurora and/or DynamoDB
- Familiarity with source code interrogation tools like Git
- Comfortable interpreting application code (e.g., C#)
- Experience with migration work to modern, managed cloud solutions
- Strategic ability to advise product teams on database design and architecture
