Data Architect – Consultant

Role Overview

• Responsible for defining and evolving data and artificial intelligence solution architectures, ensuring adherence to corporate guidelines, scalability, security and integration with the company’s technology ecosystem. Works on strategic projects, modernization initiatives and end-to-end solution design.
• Define service-oriented architectures, microservices and modular monoliths.
• Define and maintain the corporate data architecture, considering multicloud environments (Azure, AWS, GCP) and on-premises setups.
• Apply patterns such as event-driven, hexagonal, DDD, CQRS and clean architecture.
• Design solutions for internal and external Data and AI platforms with a focus on security, versioning, documentation and reuse.
• Design scalable and efficient data pipelines using tools such as Databricks, Delta Lake, Spark and Airflow.
• Ensure scalability, high availability and fault tolerance.
• Ensure integration across heterogeneous sources (SAS, Talend, Alteryx, Teradata, Hadoop).
• Integrate multicloud (AWS, GCP, Azure) and on-premises solutions.
• Support squads and partners in strategic projects.
• Contribute to the evolution of the CI/CD pipeline and DevOps/DevSecOps practices applied to data.
• Participate in technical and governance forums, contributing best practices.
• Lead projects as part of high-performance multidisciplinary squads, acting as a key partner in understanding business needs and enabling strategies through software projects.
• Interact with business areas, IT and vendors to detail scopes and schedules, address architecture designs, and plan and monitor deliveries for development, testing, infrastructure and licensing.
• Ensure the establishment of implementation and configuration plans and that delivery deadlines and schedules defined for deployment of IT solutions and/or system changes and/or new system functionalities are met.
• Share knowledge of technologies and languages applicable to system development.
• Interact with other areas of the company to identify and resolve system issues and needs through consistent feedback and the sharing of best practices with teams and support areas.

Requirements

• Experience in projects involving AI, machine learning and big data.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems or related fields.
• Desirable certifications: Azure Data Architect, Databricks Certified Data Engineer, AWS Data Analytics, IU Data Security Fabric.
• Proficiency with tools such as Terraform, Git, Docker and Kubernetes.
• Knowledge of LGPD, GDPR and information security practices.
• Skills in technical documentation, communication with business areas and technical leadership.
• Proven experience in data architecture for analytical and operational environments.
• Experience on projects with Databricks, Delta Lake, Spark, Azure Data Factory and Synapse.
• Experience with ETL/ELT tools and data integration (SAS, Talend, Alteryx).
• Knowledge of relational and non-relational databases (SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis).
• Participation in data migration and legacy platform modernization projects.
• Experience with data modeling, taxonomies, glossaries and metadata.
