Assist with planning, scheduling, and executing the technical aspects of power generation engineering projects, with a primary focus on excitation systems and their related interfaces
Design, program, commission, and support both hardware and software solutions for excitation systems
Assist with related areas such as balance-of-plant, instrumentation, control, and electrical design
Collaborate closely with internal teams, clients, and contractors through structured project processes including Design Reviews, Program Reviews, and Project Closeout Meetings
Communicate effectively, troubleshoot issues, and resolve challenges in real time to deliver high-quality, reliable solutions
Requirements
5–10+ years of experience in power generation engineering focused on excitation systems, including design, programming, commissioning, and start-up activities
Hands-on experience with excitation system platforms such as Emerson, GE EX2100e, ABB, Siemens, Basler Electric, or comparable systems
Strong process understanding of excitation and generator systems, including the ability to interpret and troubleshoot drawings, hardware designs, and process diagrams
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to produce comprehensive technical documentation and client-facing reports such as specifications and evaluations
Demonstrated ability to promote teamwork and collaborate effectively with peers, management, and clients
Ability and willingness to travel approximately 20–40% locally and domestically
Proactive, resourceful, and highly motivated to deliver projects on time and within budget.
