About this role

You are responsible for designing, building and operating modern on-premises data Lakehouse systems up to petabyte scale.
Your primary focus is on Lakehouse architectures, which you will build and operate based on the described components.

5+ years of experience in Data Platform Engineering or Platform Engineering
Extensive experience deploying and operating data analytics platforms
Extensive experience with Kubernetes
Extensive experience with CI/CD technologies
Experience with Python
Ability to work independently and take ownership
Experience with Infrastructure as Code
Nice-to-have: experience deploying and operating the following technologies: Apache Spark, S3-compatible object storage, relational databases, Apache NiFi, Apache Airflow, Kafka, Trino/Presto/Starburst and Hive
Understanding of relevant security practices
Willingness to travel
Bachelor’s, Master’s or PhD degree in Computer Science or a related field
