About this role
Role Overview
- Ensure that investment accounting policies and procedures are correctly applied to financial transactions
- Work with asset management, portfolio management and acquisition/disposition teams
- Assist with preparing month end closing reports and subsidiary quarterly financial analytics
- Prepare timely and accurate GAAP work papers and supporting schedules for audits
- Document frequent ad hoc financial inquiries for monthly and quarterly reports
- Interact with internal and external auditors and tax preparers
- Conduct daily cash book reconciliations and prepare wire transactions
- Handle monthly/quarterly accounting responsibilities including journal entries and investor distributions
Requirements
- No Experience Required
- University (Degree), Preferred
- BS/BA in accounting or finance
- CPA Candidate
- 1-2 years of previous experience in public accounting
- Real estate knowledge or experience
- Solid knowledge and understanding of GAAP
- Proficiency in Excel, Word and PowerPoint
- Previous Experience with Yardi or Workiva
- Excellent technical research, communication and writing skills
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work in a deadline driven environment
- Ability to multi-task
