Health Information Exchange Business Architect, Mid

Role Overview

• Analyze current VHIE system architecture, interfaces, and data flows.
• Evaluate continuity of operations, disaster recovery, redundancy, and failover capabilities.
• Identify technical, interoperability, and dependency risks.
• Assess alignment with VA cybersecurity and resilience standards.
• Produce HIE Continuity Assessment Report and Continuity Risk Mitigation Plan.
• Evaluate optimization opportunities using emerging technologies (e.g., cloud-native architectures, implementation of emerging standards, automation, AI/ML, APIs).
• Provide data-driven recommendations supporting VHIE modernization.

Requirements

• 3
• 5 years of experience in Business Process Modeling, Data Architecture, data modeling desired
• A master’s degree or bachelor’s plus 2 years relevant experience, or Associate’s + 4 years relevant experience required in Information Systems, Computer Science, CIS or another related scientific discipline is required.
• Must have high speed internet connection
• Must be located in one of our hiring states of AZ, CO, FL, GA, ID, IL, MD, MI, TX, VA, or WI
• Experience supporting the U.S. Dept of Veteran Affairs (VA) client and comply with the client's regulations, goals and program needs.
