Software Quality Assurance Engineer

Role Overview

What you’ll do:

• Design, implement, and maintain **comprehensive test plans **for both legacy and new web components.
• Develop and execute automated and manual test cases to ensure reliability, performance, and user experience.
• Collaborate closely with **developers, product managers, and DevOps engineers **to identify, document, and resolve issues early in the cycle.
• Validate data integrity, APIs, and end-to-end functionality across the migration.
• Champion a **shift-left testing mindset **— integrating quality early in the development process.
• Build and enhance test automation frameworks to support continuous delivery.
• Track and report testing progress, coverage, and key quality metrics.
• Continuously improve QA practices, tools, and documentation.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in software quality assurance, ideally within web applications or migration projects.
• Strong understanding of QA methodologies, test automation, and **Agile development **processes.
• Hands-on experience with** test automation tools** such as Cypress, Playwright, Selenium, or similar.
• Familiarity with API testing (Postman, REST Assured, etc.) and CI/CD pipelines.
• Solid understanding of frontend and backend systems and how they interact.
• Sharp analytical skills and attention to detail — you don’t just find bugs, you find root causes.
• Fluency in Dutch and/or French, and very good knowledge of English

Bonus if you have:

• Experience with performance testing (e.g., JMeter, k6) or security testing.
• Familiarity with TypeScript, JavaScript, or Python for scripting automated tests.
• Experience testing cloud-based or containerized environments.
• A mindset that blends curiosity with pragmatism — ensuring both quality and velocity.
