Perform electrical design at the product level, including component selection, thermal considerations, mechanical packaging support, and interconnection design
Apply knowledge of analog/digital circuits, magnetics, and thermal systems
Develop technical specifications for power protection and distribution equipment
Design switchboard power and control systems
Create and maintain engineering documentation such as schematics and bills of materials (BOMs)
Support integration of third-party components into electrical systems
Assist with manufacturing documentation, testing procedures, and technical reporting
Provide ongoing engineering support for both new and existing products
Troubleshoot electrical systems and subsystems in a hands-on capacity
Assist with product compliance and safety certifications (UL, CSA, IEC standards)
Requirements
Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (BSEE)
Minimum of 2 years of experience in electrical design and development
Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering (MSEE)
Experience with UL 891 switchboard design
Familiarity with ECNs, BOM management, documentation systems, AutoCAD, and ERP platforms
Experience using electrical test equipment (oscilloscopes, network analyzers, signal generators, etc.)
Knowledge of three-phase power systems and electrical distribution
Strong technical writing, documentation, and communication skills
Hands-on lab experience with strong troubleshooting abilities
Familiarity with UL, CSA, and IEC safety and EMC standards
Understanding of environmental, reliability, and safety requirements for industrial and commercial systems
