Role Overview
- Audit the highest-value processes and assess their risks
- Challenge the robustness of internal controls
- Drive change through concrete, actionable recommendations
- Work across a very diverse scope, from field operations to support functions (Finance, IT, HR, etc.)
- Take responsibility for planning, executing and managing highly technical internal audit engagements
- Structure findings and draft clear, prioritized, action-oriented audit reports
- Help define SMART action plans and monitor their implementation
- Perform some engagements in partnership with specialized external firms
- Actively participate in the development of the multi-year audit plan and in risk assessment
- Analyze the quality of the Internal Audit service’s deliverables
- Play an active role in the continuous improvement of the department
- Serve as a reference point by providing functional guidance to less experienced auditors and supporting senior auditors when needed.
Requirements
- You hold a master’s degree with an economic orientation or have equivalent experience
- You have at least 8 years of relevant internal audit experience
- You are proficient with IIA standards, internal audit methodologies and risk analysis
- You have strong writing skills
- You are proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access) and collaborative tools (Teams, SharePoint)
- You have a good command of Dutch
- Certifications such as CIA, CISA or CISM are a strong plus.
