Translate documents from English into French for all administrative departments of the firm
Accurately capture and convey the firm's intent and message so that French texts read as originals rather than translations, while respecting the firm's vision, tone and style
Use the memoQ platform for translation assignments and stay current with new technological advances in translation
Work closely with team members to create, update and enhance the internal terminology database and translation memory, fostering knowledge sharing and continuous improvement
Requirements
University degree in translation and accreditation from OTTIAQ
Minimum of five (5) years of translation experience, ideally gained in a legal or professional services environment
Excellent command of French and English, written and spoken, with ease operating in an English-dominant work environment
Strong team spirit and demonstrated ability to collaborate closely with colleagues, managers and internal partners in an environment of trust and mutual respect
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, coupled with a nuanced understanding of the English language
Meticulousness, agility, attention to detail and a strong sense of responsibility, with a genuine commitment to linguistic quality and consistency in the firm's communications
Ability to manage multiple assignments effectively, prioritize and be flexible in response to urgent requests
Ability to deliver high-quality work under tight deadlines while contributing positively to team dynamics and the firm's reputation
