About this role
Role Overview
- Full management of SQL Server (primary), optionally PostgreSQL/Oracle: schema/model analysis, monitoring, tuning, optimization, and security hardening.
- Development of automations: maintenance scripts using PowerShell, Python, curl, T-SQL, and REST/SOAP APIs.
- Management of Windows servers in virtualized environments (patching, hardening, monitoring, troubleshooting).
Requirements
- Minimum 3–5 years' experience as a SQL Server DBA.
- Proficient with: SQL Server, SSRS, PowerShell, Git, and monitoring tools.
- System knowledge: Windows Server 2016/2019/2022.
- Virtualization experience (VMware, Hyper-V).
- Nice-to-have skills: Azure SQL, Docker, IT security, Python scripting.
- Personal qualities: meticulousness, organizational skills, autonomy, ability to document, teamwork, adherence to internal standards, customer service mindset.
