Lead the end-to-end delivery of capital projects, managing scope, schedule, and budget for initiatives typically ranging from $500K to $2M.
Develop precise project scopes by identifying core problems, functional requirements, and performing risk and cost-benefit analyses to recommend optimal solutions.
Oversee design reviews and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to promote space efficiency, asset utilization, and alignment with Roche’s site master plans.
Manage small to medium projects through all phases from conception to commissioning, qualification, and operational handover, ensuring seamless transitions.
Maintain comprehensive knowledge of site infrastructure systems—HVAC, electrical, utilities—and provide troubleshooting support for critical facilities.
Facilitate stakeholder coordination by preparing engineering documentation, ensuring regulatory compliance, and supporting change control processes.
Commit to continuous improvement by sharing best practices, supporting cross-site collaborations, and advancing engineering standards within Roche’s network.
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, or related discipline) or equivalent professional experience.
A Professional Engineer (PE) license or Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is preferred.
5+ years of combined experience in project management, project engineering, or capital planning within regulated or high-tech manufacturing environments, including biotech, pharmaceutical, or similar industries, preferred.
Proven experience delivering capital projects from concept to completion, with responsibility for managing budgets and schedules.
Experience with capital project governance frameworks such as stage-gate or portfolio management is advantageous.
Proficiency with MS Project, Smartsheet, or equivalent project management tools.
Experience with SAP, AutoCAD, building management systems, or process control systems is a plus.
Strong knowledge of facility systems, utilities infrastructure, or building engineering, with familiarity with BIM (Building Information Modeling) tools or digital asset management platforms preferred.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of presenting technical information effectively to diverse audiences.
Ability to work collaboratively across functions and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Knowledge of FDA, GMP, or other pharmaceutical regulatory requirements, as well as continuous improvement certifications such as Six Sigma or Lean, is advantageous.
