Lead the design of critical power electronic components—including cables, relays, and protection devices—specifically for low to medium-voltage DC Fast Charger systems.
Create and maintain detailed electrical drawings, schematics, and comprehensive certification plans.
Partner with engineering teams and regulators to ensure all designs meet U.S. industry standards (UL, ETL, etc.) and contribute to functional hazard and system safety assessments.
Construct and test working prototypes, conducting product qualification testing and circuit design to validate original charger designs.
Serve as a technical bridge between engineering, manufacturing, and regulatory bodies to ensure seamless product delivery.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field
3+ years experience as an electrical engineer
Experience with CAD programs like Solidworks, Creo, Altium, or similar system
A proactive approach to engineering and ability to thrive in a fast-paced team-oriented environment
Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to work across a variety of departments
Multi-tasking and time-management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks
Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs including Word, Excel, and Outlook
Knowledge of and experience with electrical regulations (NEC, NFPA) and government programs (NEVI, CTEP) that support the electrification industry
Previous experience in the EV or sustainable energy industry
