Role Overview
What You’ll Be Doing
- Owning and delivering revenue, pipeline and margin targets across European ground segment markets
- Developing and executing strategic account plans for key European customers and programmes
- Leading early engagement on next-generation SATCOM and defence programmes to secure design wins
- Building senior relationships across engineering, programme, procurement and commercial functions
- Leading complex opportunity capture through multi-phase bid, negotiation and contract award processes
- Navigating structured procurement environments typical of major primes and government customers
- Providing insight into market trends such as:
- High-throughput and next-generation satellite systems
- Gateway and teleport modernisation
- 5G and non-terrestrial network (NTN) integration
- Secure and defence communications infrastructure
Requirements
What We’re Looking For
- Previous experience gained with major organisations and well known space primes
- Proven track record in business development, capture management, technical sales or strategic account leadership
- Experience working on complex, long-cycle aerospace, defence or SATCOM programmes
- Strong understanding of RF, microwave or communications systems (ground segment experience highly desirable)
- Experience engaging with multi-stakeholder organisations, including engineering, procurement and programme teams
- Commercially astute with the ability to structure and close high-value deals
- Established network within the European SATCOM or defence ecosystem is highly advantageous
- Degree in Engineering, Physics or related discipline (MBA or commercial training advantageous) or relevant working experience
- Willingness to travel across Europe and eligible for UK security clearance
