Investigating, evaluating, negotiating, and resolving first-party property damage and subrogation claims through final disposition, within established authority levels.
Evaluates liability and communicates company position to the party responsible for causing damage to company property, or their insurance carrier.
Investigate and resolve first-party property damage and subrogation claims within assigned authority and experience level.
Coordinate assigned litigation and collaborate with outside counsel in support of property damage recovery efforts.
Represent the Company in court proceedings involving facilities and property damage claims, as required.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience.
A minimum of one (1) or more years of claims handling experience or related collections experience is required.
Three (3) or more years claims experience is preferred.
Knowledge of gas and electric distribution systems is also preferred.
Connecticut Casualty Adjuster’s License required, or ability to obtain within one (1) year of hire.
Valid motor vehicle driver’s license.
