Mid-level Accountant

Role Overview

• Perform monthly accounting close and prepare financial statements (Trial Balance, Income Statement)
• Perform account reconciliations (assets, liabilities, and income/expense accounts)
• Ensure consistency between accounting, tax, and finance
• Calculate taxes for Lucro Real and Lucro Presumido regimes
• Prepare and submit statutory and tax filings (accessory obligations)
• Manage and calculate withholding taxes
• Monitor tax compliance (federal, state and municipal certificates)
• Monitor and interpret tax legislation
• Contribute to process improvements and the group's accounting organization
• Work in partnership with the administrative and finance teams

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting and active CRC registration
• Experience with monthly accounting close, reconciliations of balance sheet and income accounts, and trial balance analysis
• Knowledge of statutory/tax filings, including eSocial, EFD-Reinf and DCTFWeb
• Previous experience as an accountant in companies or accounting firms
• Experience with Lucro Real and Lucro Presumido tax regimes
• Knowledge of tax filings and tax legislation
• Excel skills (intermediate level)
• Experience with accounting/tax ERP systems
• Analytical and organized profile
• Strong prioritization skills and ability to meet deadlines
• Proactive and responsible
• Good communication skills for interacting with internal teams and consultants
• Knowledge of cost accounting (plus)
• Experience with companies with multiple CNPJs (multiple corporate tax IDs) (plus)
• Experience with the CALIMA accounting system (plus)
