Oversees and manages the operational aspects of ongoing projects
Serves as liaison between project management and planning, project team, and line management
Reviews status of projects and budgets; manages schedules and prepares status reports
Assesses project issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives
Develops mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with project managers, line managers, and clients
Supports the Facilities Program Management Office, responsible for Tactical Spending Plans, Long Range Strategic Plans and Forward Pricing Plans supporting facility infrastructure
Collaborates with the Facilities Project teams in the implementation of successful financial goals, budget tracking and schedule projections
Works with the NNS Program representatives to identify future year Capital, Expense & Direct facility needs
Strong computer and communication skills, well organized, process improvement oriented and be a strong team player
Ability to compile, format and reconcile financial data and be proficient at all Microsoft applications for updating, tracking, and forecasting
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree and 6 years of relevant exempt experience; Master’s Degree and 4 years of relevant professional experience
NNS Apprentice School graduate, Navy Nuclear Power School (NNPS) graduate, Associate's Degree or other formal 2 year program and 2 years of relevant exempt experience, or 4 years of relevant non-exempt experience
Military Paygrade E-5 or above military experience
High School/GED and 4 years combined of Manufacturing, Shipbuilding, Trades, Military experience or other relevant exempt experience
High School/GED and 8 years combined of Manufacturing, Shipbuilding, Trades, Military experience or other relevant non-exempt experience
Experience in risk management, project plan creation and cost estimating
