Lead Mechanical Engineering Design Activities, independently performing advanced engineering work
Perform advanced mechanical design tasks and computational analysis for complex projects, components and systems
Utilize AutoCAD and Revit software to prepare drawings and visual aids
Develop proposals including project scope, schedule and budget
Perform QAQC peer reviews for projects
Survey existing building conditions and prepares technical reports of findings
Prepare project design, specification and construction documents
Serve as primary client contact for one or more clients
Mentor associates and assist with training and development
Identify opportunities and lead the strategic use of technology to enhance efficiency through workflow automation
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering
PE in related discipline
Minimum of thirteen years of mechanical engineering experience
Knowledge of designing mechanical systems
Knowledge of codes, code analysis and specifications for mechanical systems
Knowledge of computational fluid dynamics (CFD)
Skilled at producing drawings and visual aids using AutoCAD and / or Revit
Skilled at using MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams)
Exceptional organizational skills for file management
Skilled in performing and analyzing load calculations, energy simulation and system hydronics
Ability to review and select DDC controls and fire alarm / protection system devices, determine points lists, write complex sequences of operation and develop system architecture
Ability to work successfully in a remote environment through effective communication and organizational skills, self-motivation, proactiveness and resourcefulness in a distraction free workspace
Organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
Ability to work under pressure and meet close deadlines
