Develops and applies advanced engineering techniques, concepts, and approaches to complex substation design projects.
Serves as the primary point of contact for assigned clients, building and maintaining strong relationships while leading technical execution and delivery.
Requires regular travel to client sites to support project coordination, relationship management, and business growth.
Leads civil/structural design for substation projects, including site development, grading, drainage, and foundations.
Coordinates multidisciplinary teams and oversees technical execution to ensure alignment with scope, schedule, budget, and quality.
Provides technical leadership and mentorship to engineers, designers, and CAD staff.
Identifies client needs and supports business development efforts, including contributing to proposals and expanding services.
Requirements
10–15 years of progressive experience in civil/structural engineering, with a strong focus on substation design.
Demonstrated experience serving in a client-facing or client lead capacity, including direct interaction with utility or energy clients.
Proven ability to lead technical execution on multidisciplinary projects and mentor engineering teams.
Experience coordinating across disciplines and managing engineering deliverables for complex infrastructure projects.
Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred or required based on role and client needs.
Willingness and ability to travel to client sites on a regular basis.
