The Social team is responsible for the social media presence of UKTV’s channel portfolio: U, U&Dave, U&W, U&Alibi, U&Yesterday, U&Gold and U&Drama.
The team strive to drive quality engagement with new and existing fans through entertaining, innovative and impactful social content and conversation.
The in-house team, made up of editors, coordinators and social media managers specialise in content production, community engagement and campaign management across owned, earned and paid media channels across a range of platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, TikTok and YouTube.
This role will report into the Senior Social Video Manager sitting within the Social & Online team, supporting video editing for all social platforms, and responsibility for YouTube channel management needs across all accounts.
A typical day might include watching a UKTV Original show and using your proven understanding of Social algorithms and audience development best practise to create and manage content which you think would resonate best with our audiences.
All of your work will contribute towards the growth of UKTV’s digital presence, creating attention grabbing, high dwell time content to deliver on our ambitious view and revenue targets.
Requirements
Proven experience editing and packaging video and image assets for social media platforms using Premiere Pro and Photoshop, with After Effects a nice to have
A clear knowledge of platform specific best practices, in particular YouTube
A demonstrated history of successfully working within a team
A strong understanding of channel management tools like YouTube and META’s creator studios
Experience with compliance and editorial best practice incumbent with working for a PSB
Experience managing rights and territorial restrictions actively and confidently
Experience with camera and audio equipment, and self-shooting, a plus
Experience working with talent, a plus
A digital native with a proven understanding of platform features, what drives audience growth and revenue on Social Platforms, as well as best practices and trends
A passion for TV and how it can connect with audiences on digital platforms.
