Role Overview
- Responsible for thermal design, simulation analysis, and test validation for electronic products
- Cooperate with software team to implement fan speed control strategy
- Document thermal test plans and perform measurements
- Interface with multi-disciplinary groups and vendors
- Work with teams to identify routes cause of system failure
Requirements
- Thermal design, simulation analysis, and test validation experience required
- Network/storage/server product thermal design experience preferred
- Experience with liquid cooling product development is preferred
- Design robust thermal solutions to meet product specifications
- Collaborate with software team on fan speed control strategy
- Provide thermal simulation analysis from board to system chassis level
- Document thermal test plan and perform thermal, air flow/impedance, and acoustic measurements
- Experience in defining system requirements with a multi-disciplinary group
- Interface with heat sink and air mover vendors to manage cost, quality, and functionality
- Identify root cause of system failure through teamwork with function teams.
- Experience working in medium-sized multidisciplinary development teams is a plus.
