Role Overview
- Manage and ensure the timely completion of discrete technical project scope.
- Define, oversee, and manage project deliverables, budgets, schedules, and risks.
- Lead and support project teams in planning, tracking, and executing scope from initiation through turnover.
- Manage project activities in alignment with Triad prime contract and National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA) requirements.
- Organize work into control accounts and work packages to meet programmatic objectives.
- Report to the Project Program Director and oversee day-to-day administrative and operational management within an assigned program area.
- Develop, implement, and evaluate policies, procedures, and standards.
- Determine program service levels and identify enhancements.
- Assist in the development and monitoring of program budgets.
- Provide technical guidance to project teams, support departments, and matrixed resources.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree and 12+ years of relevant experience related DOE nuclear experience; additional, relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
- Must be a United States (U.S.) citizen due to the federal nature of the work.
- Able to obtain and maintain a government issued clearance, if needed.
- Experience managing projects within a DOE Hazard Category 2, Security Classification 1 facility.
- Prior nuclear experience is required due to the environment in which work is performed.
- Strong ability to manage technical requirements, schedules, budgets, and risks.
- Experience overseeing project execution from initiation through turnover.
- Ability to manage administrative and operational functions within a program.
