Source, develop, and advance acquisition and investment opportunities across the healthcare real estate landscape
Partner with the SVP and SIOs to identify and cultivate prospective customer and partner relationships
Source, assess, and advance a robust pipeline of investment opportunities by building relationships with operators, developers, brokers, and other industry decision‑makers
Collaborate with SIOs and Asset Management to understand existing operator relationships
Develop strong knowledge of Ventas’ acquisition process, including underwriting parameters, deal structuring, and documentation
Conduct initial screening and evaluation of investment opportunities and collaborate on deal structuring
Support underwriting teams and internal and external advisors to manage risk and drive timely execution of transactions
Partner with senior leadership on strategic initiatives and special projects as needed
Serve as a visible ambassador for Ventas within the healthcare real estate and investment community
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business, real estate, or a related field; advanced degree preferred
Minimum of 7 years of experience in real estate and/or healthcare finance, investment banking, development, or acquisitions, including at least 3 years in a business development–focused role
Must be located in the Chicago, IL or New York, NY surrounding area or willing to relocate for the duration of employment
Strong analytical skills, sound business judgment, and demonstrated financial acumen
Proven ability to build trust, influence, and communicate effectively and persuasively
Self-starter with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a results-oriented, collaborative environment
High degree of professionalism, integrity, initiative, and accountability
Willingness and ability to travel approximately 60%
