Research and develop high-volume consumer medical devices
Collaborate with product managers, cross-functional leaders, system designers to translate business needs and product requirements into feature definition, technical requirements and designs.
Develop embedded system requirements, specifications, architectures and translate into hardware meeting performance, cost, and manufacturability targets.
Work closely with software architecture leaders to ensure proper system implementation to support the needs for system verification, manufacturing, and the end user.
Create and review electrical design specifications and product requirements.
Support development of design FMEAs and V&V test protocols.
Ensure that electrical designs meet applicable industry and medical device standards.
Communicate effectively to and participate in cross-functional development teams.
Write and submit Engineering Change Orders in Agile PLM.
Serve as an independent reviewer on programs not directly involved.
Comply with corporate and divisional policies and support additional program needs.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering
Minimum of 7 + years of relevant experience
Mastery of fundamental Electrical Engineering and Embedded Design principles.
Strong verbal and written communications with ability to effectively communicate at multiple levels in the organization.
Experience in performing complex engineering calculations and relating results to design verification tests including statistical analysis and tolerance analysis
Demonstrated capability in developing embedded hardware systems with associated design documentation.
