Create product designs ending at an initial business case used to kick off product development.
Execute CADD work that supports the design process.
Responsible for learning and maintaining best design and modeling practices to support CADD automation.
Collaborate with other engineers to maintain consistent design language and product philosophy.
Work closely with product management, estimating, engineering, manufacturing, procurement, and quality to ensure effective designs.
Create critical market and material specifications needed to describe product requirements and constraints.
Review and approve detailed product drawings and bills of materials for completeness and correctness.
Requirements
A Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering or Industrial Design is required.
Minimum of 3 years industrial design experience in CADD, configuration management, manufacturing, technical documentation, and other industry technologies.
Proficiency with 3D CADD tools required (SolidWorks/DriveWorks preferred).
Knowledge of IT infrastructure (hardware, software, network, relational databases).
High proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and SQL queries.
Research and competitive analysis experience preferred.
