The Reinsurance Officer coordinates with the various departments involved in the reinsurance process
Collate the data required to prepare the submission package
Work with the Legal Department to draft and review the reinsurance contract wording
Coordinate the availability of documents and reports for claims, underwriting and transactional audits
Evaluate and consider treaty reinsurance quotes and indications
Negotiate the transaction to support AIG’s business requirements
Coordinate and track execution of contract wordings
Summarize Treaty Terms and Schematics and distribute internally as needed
Develop, manage and maintain relationships with reinsurance brokers and reinsurance markets
Support compliance by maintaining appropriate documentation
Understanding Profit Centre business strategy and reinsurance objectives
Ensure compliance with corporate and regional security policy
Manage the special exception process when appropriate
Coordinate and manage all external reinsurance underwriting audits

At least 5 years of Reinsurance related experience
ARe and/or CPCU preferred
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal)
Strong presentation development and executive communication skills
Advanced PowerPoint capabilities with a strong ability to synthesize complex data into concise, impactful presentations
Proven ability to create and deliver high-quality presentations for senior leadership and C-suite audiences
Strong negotiation skills
Strong attention to detail and quantitative skills
Ability to meet deadlines and prioritize tasks
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with various internal stakeholders, including underwriting, claims, actuarial, finance and IT departments
Ability to travel as required (10%)
Strong Microsoft Office skills, including Word and Excel
