Develop detailed 3D mechanical and piping models using SolidWorks and AutoCAD Plant 3D.
Produce fabrication drawings, GA layouts, isometrics, and assembly details for water and wastewater treatment systems.
Design modular skids, process vessels, and associated mechanical components for in-house fabrication and ensure all designs are practical, efficient to build, and aligned with workshop capabilities and fabrication methods.
Coordinate design priorities across multiple live projects to maintain smooth workflow between design and workshop teams.
Ensure all designs comply with relevant New Zealand mechanical, pressure, and safety standards (NZS, AS/NZS).
Conduct design reviews and ensure adherence to internal quality and HSE standards.
Other roles specific duties as they arise.
Requirements
Minimum 5-7+ years of experience in mechanical/piping design within water treatment, process, or mechanical fabrication industries.
SolidWorks (advanced 3D modelling, assemblies, sheet-metal, weldments, and configurations).
AutoCAD Plant 3D or similar plant/piping design software.
Understanding of piping layouts, pressure systems, and mechanical equipment integration.
Knowledge of New Zealand and Australian design and safety standards.
Capable of managing multiple concurrent projects with tight deadlines.
