About this role
Role Overview
- Develops profitable business account relationships and increased profitability from existing and new accounts
- Identifies business opportunities based on knowledge of clients, markets, products and services
- Makes sales presentations to existing and/or prospective clients informing them of benefits of using the organization's products and services
- Implements and maintains an effective referral network and call program to promote sales
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience
- Seven to nine or more years of relevant work experience
- Ability to travel (local and regional, some national)
- Prior experience in business card sales/payments
- Well-developed sales and new business development skills
- Demonstrated ability to build a book of business from the ground up
- Experience working with mid ‑ size to large businesses, including clients with $10MM+ in annual revenue
- Strong credit analysis and financial assessment skills
- Proven success developing and leveraging Centers of Influence (COIs)
- Demonstrated ability to manage pipeline activity with strong follow ‑ up and execution discipline
- Solid knowledge of payment products
- Strong customer relationship management skills
- Experience using Salesforce or similar CRM tools to manage leads, activities, and sales performance
