Own annual budgeting, long‑range planning, rolling forecasts for the Foundation.
Build and maintain financial models to support scenario planning, cash flow visibility, and resource allocation decisions
Lead a consistent FP&A cadence, including monthly and quarterly performance reviews and variance analysis
Translate financial performance into clear insights and recommendations that drive decision-making across leadership
Maintain and enhance financial policies, controls and approval frameworks to support effective and consistent decision-making.
Ensure clear visibility into financial performance, spend, and forward commitments
Deliver accurate, timely, and decision-useful financial reporting
Oversee accounting operations and financial reporting through an established team.
Ensure compliance with GAAP, IRS public charity requirements, and applicable federal and state regulations.
Oversee audit and tax filings (including Form 990) in partnership with external advisors
Prepare and present financial materials for Board and Committee meetings.
Provide clear perspectives on performance, risks, and forward outlook.
Partner closely with the Executive Director and leadership team to inform strategic and operational decisions.
Lead and develop a high‑performing finance team across FP&A, accounting, compliance, and analytics with clear accountability for outcomes and team effectiveness.
Continue to elevate team output from reporting to insight generation and decision support.
Requirements
10+ years of experience in FP&A, finance, or strategic finance roles
Strong financial modeling, forecasting, and analytical capabilities
Experience overseeing accounting and audit processes without needing to operate them day-to-day
Demonstrated ability to operate with high ownership and accountability in a lean, fast-moving environment
Track record of building or significantly improving FP&A processes and financial discipline in a growing organization
Experience presenting to senior leadership and or boards
Familiarity with nonprofit finance and regulatory requirements preferred
CPA, CFA, or MBA is a plus
