Backend Developer, Node – Specialist II

Role Overview

• Lead the architectural definition of distributed services and Serverless solutions on AWS, promoting a structure that enables iterative, autonomous, and scalable development.
• Create experimentation environments to investigate and document the use of emerging technologies and creative solutions for complex problems.
• Ensure product stability and performance through a culture of continuous monitoring and the use of operational data.
• Lead incident resolution and the construction of action plans (both short-term mitigations and long-term fixes) within your domain and across peer teams.
• Ensure the evolution and security of CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions), ensuring frequent and safe deliveries.
• Manage the lifecycle of process improvements, technical debt, and security updates (vulnerability remediation), linking outcomes to product objectives.
• Promote and guide the team in engineering best practices (Code Review, Pair Programming, Clean Code, and Unit/Integration/Performance Testing), elevating technical standards and ensuring security by design.
• Act as a bridge between business needs and technical feasibility, translating complex challenges into scalable solutions.
• Influence the team's tactical planning to ensure achievement of the department's and organization's strategic objectives.
• Identify technical and behavioral gaps in the team, mentoring developers and fostering an environment of continuous feedback, respect, and collaboration.
• Communicate effectively with diverse audiences, ensuring clarity on technical and non-technical topics.

Requirements

• Backend and Language Expertise: Advanced programming experience with Node.js and TypeScript, focusing on building scalable microservices and high-performance RESTful APIs;
• Systems Architecture and Engineering: Hands-on mastery of Clean Architecture, Clean Code, and SOLID principles. Strong experience developing distributed services and event-driven architectures;
• Cloud and Serverless (AWS): Advanced experience with the AWS ecosystem, emphasizing Serverless frameworks (Lambda), messaging services (SQS/SNS), and secrets management (Secrets Manager). Solid knowledge of container technologies (Docker/Kubernetes);
• DevOps Culture and Automation: Essential experience building and managing CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or Azure DevOps), ensuring automation of the development lifecycle;
• Data Management: Experience modeling and implementing solutions with NoSQL databases (MongoDB and DynamoDB) and relational databases (PostgreSQL);
• Digital Ecosystem (Preferred): Familiarity with Conversational Commerce solutions (WhatsApp) and basic Frontend/Mobile development knowledge (React/React Native) to support cross-functional squads;
• Experience acting as a Technical Lead in squads of scalable digital products.
