About this role
Role Overview
- Day to day overview for Datacenters within the Americas Division
- Install, configure, troubleshoot, upgrade, customize and maintain AIX/Linux systems
- Monitor AIX/Linux systems, analyzing problems and performing research and maintenance
- Perform regular revalidation of system settings to ensure compliance with policies
- Use scripts to automate routine tasks
- Create, modify, and delete account information
- Mitigate security breaches in progress
- Configure and maintain HMC to manage P-series environments
- Work with vendors for all aspects of system maintenance
Requirements
- Associate degree in Computer Science or related field
- A minimum of 10 years of relevant experience
- Industry certification(s) such as VMware, Linux, AIX, etc. are a plus
- Specific knowledge of IBM P-Series Servers and AIX operating systems
- Experience supporting enterprise applications and technologies in a Global Organization
- Prior experience with ServiceNow is a plus.
