About this role
Role Overview
Ensure high availability, performance, and reliability of area-owned applications
Lead incident response and resolution within defined SLOs, including root cause analysis, post-mortems, and implementation of preventive actions
Proactively monitor application health, logs, and interfaces to detect and prevent service disruptions
Build and maintain observability tooling — dashboards, alerts, and runbooks using the Grafana stack (Grafana, Prometheus, Loki, Tempo, Alertmanager)
Automate operational tasks and eliminate recurring manual work using Bash and Python scripting
Manage and improve infrastructure using Terraform and Terragrunt
Maintain and enhance GitLab CI/CD pipelines and support GitOps workflows
Deploy and manage workloads on Kubernetes (k8s), contributing to cluster reliability and scalability
Collaborate closely with Service Desk, DevOps, infrastructure, cybersecurity, engineering teams, vendors, and Product Owners
Ensure compliance with data privacy and security standards in the banking sector
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
At least 5 years of experience in IT application support, SRE, DevOps, or software engineering, preferably in the financial services sector
Strong analytical skills, service mindset, and ability to work in high-pressure environments
Experience supporting applications in production environments and participating in on-call rotations
Familiarity with ITIL processes, especially incident, problem, and change management
Hands-on experience with observability and monitoring tools (e.g., Grafana, ELK)
Solid understanding of GitLab pipelines and GitOps principles
Practical AWS knowledge — compute, networking, storage, IAM
Strong scripting skills (e.g., Bash, PowerShell, Python)
Working knowledge of databases (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server)
Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform and Terragrunt
Kubernetes experience — deploying, troubleshooting, and maintaining workloads
Fluent English is required in spoken and written communication due to working on the Pan-Baltic level.
