Contribute to cross-functional project teams supporting product design and development, materials and product testing, definition of engineering specifications, and research activities, including pre-clinical and clinical studies
Collaborate directly with physicians and Cath Lab personnel to gather feedback and refine device concepts and performance
Independently plan, prioritize, and execute engineering activities to meet project timelines and deliverables
Design, execute, and analyze standard engineering tests and experiments; document and communicate results through technical reports
Troubleshoot and resolve design, material, and process-related issues for new and existing products
Invent and develop new product and process concepts; prepare and submit idea disclosures
Provide technical direction, training, and support to R&D technicians
Partner closely with Quality, Manufacturing, Regulatory, Clinical, and Marketing teams to ensure project success
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related technical field (Mechanical, Biomedical, or Design preferred); Master’s degree preferred
Minimum of 2 years of relevant engineering experience (advanced degree may substitute for experience)
At least 1 year of medical device experience
Proven experience designing solutions and solving complex technical problems
