Supervisor, Genetic Counseling Clinical Support

Role Overview

• Oversee daily operations of the clinical indication team.
• Lead, coach, and evaluate team performance against quarterly goals.
• Manage task scheduling and personnel resource allocation.
• Support onboarding, training, and ongoing development of team members.
• Identify opportunities to improve process efficiency and workflow effectiveness.
• Conduct analytical review of clinical records to extract relevant clinical terms.
• Provide clinical oversight and guidance on complex or escalated cases.
• Collaborate with cross-functional partners for alignment and continuous improvement.
• Comply with all company policies, procedures, and applicable regulatory requirements.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Genetic Counseling or related field.
• Certified Genetic Counselor (CGC) credential in good standing.
• Minimum of 3 years of professional experience as a genetic counselor.
• Demonstrated experience reviewing clinical records and applying clinical indication criteria.
• Strong organizational, communication, and analytical skills.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
• At least 1 year of supervisory or team lead experience preferred.
• Experience supporting clinical indication, data abstraction, or genetic data analysis workflows in a laboratory setting preferred.
