Works with the Agile Release Trains (ARTs) and Experience Group Owners (Product Management) to initiate the delivery activities necessary to realize the business benefits of the Epic
Ongoing responsibilities for stewardship and follow-up of initiated Epics, ensuring the defined success criteria is realized
Works with stakeholders and subject matter experts (SMEs) to define the Epic and its potential benefits, establishes the Cost of Delay (CoD), and identifies business sponsors; responsible for acceptance of the Epics
Works with the delivery teams to size the Epic and provide input to the economic prioritization based on a Weighted Shortest Job First (WSJF) model
Provides guidance to the ART(s) on the Epic context of the target Features
Participates in Program Increment (PI) Planning, System Demo, and Solution Demo when critical to the Epic
Reports on progress of the Epic to the sponsoring Stakeholder Owner
Works with Agile teams that perform research spikes, creates proof of concepts, mock-ups, etc.
Serves as a SME for system development and/or enhancement projects for new or existing applications/processes
Can think about the 'What' and how it impacts the 'How'
Supports business readiness activities
Requirements
Past experience working with technology teams, or the ability and interest to learn how to work with technology teams
Bachelor’s degree preferred
7 years plus years experience in Healthcare environment required
Working knowledge of claim systems, billing and banking systems preferred
Ability to translate business needs into actionable business rules and requirements
Excellent communication, interpersonal and relationship management skills
Must have strong business skills and experience, with in depth understanding of business
Ability to work independently and within a team environment
Strong collaboration, negotiation and leadership skills
Ability and experience working across different functional areas in a matrix environment
Ability to think critically with respect to improvement of end-to-end business process
Proven ability to foster collaboration, value others perspectives, and gain support and buy-in for organizational proposals.
