- Underwrites risks including the selection and rejection of new and renewal business for complex, specialty accounts
- Maximizes opportunities for underwriting profitable new and renewal business
- Develops and maintains an active target account list tracking prospects and opportunities
- Manages financial performance including accident year loss ratio, premium plans, and commission targets
- Executes underwriting strategy including portfolio management and compliance with standards
- Develops superior working relationships with producers to promote mutual growth and profitability goals
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- 7-10 years of Specialty Property underwriting experience
- Professional insurance designation is preferred (AICPCU, RPLU)
