About this role
Role Overview
Act as Finance partner to the Head of Global Markets and the Finance representative at Global Markets Operating Committee
Provide business executives and senior management with analysis and recommendations on business strategy, financial performance, management of performance incentives, and allocation of financial resources
Coordinate the management reporting, forecasting, and planning activities for Global Markets business lines
Manage the overall Finance relationship with the Global Markets business management team to ensure all activities across each business line are aligned with Global Markets strategic and financial objectives
Manage the implementation of multiple concurrent initiatives of varying complexity in a time efficient manner
Monitor and control activities according to plan
Continuously identify potential issues, conflicts, and risks
Analyze, mitigate and escalate where appropriate
Develop and execute on end-to-end change management plans and execute all communication related to these endeavors
Collaborate and contribute on cross-functional enterprise initiatives and manage the effective implementation of assigned deliverables
Establish strong working relationships across business units and platforms to build influence and impact with key business partners
Collaborate with groups to define and achieve deliverables and ensure initiatives are effectively integrated into RBC procedures and processes
Contribute to ongoing administrative program activities as required
Requirements
University degree in a relevant field, coupled with a CPA or CFA or Finance MBA
Detailed understanding of Capital Markets industry and products
Conceptual and strategic thinker
Strong background in forecasting, planning & financial analysis
Experience in capital management, liquidity and funding management
Ability to organize large groups of senior executives and steer conversations and decision making
Proven leadership and people management skills
Nice-to-have: Experience in a matrix environment, such as a large, publicly-traded corporation
Ability to facilitate between and influence key decision makers
Strategic thinker with excellent interpersonal skills to work across functions and businesses
