Collaborate in the monthly and annual financial statement close process
Support the Controller in managing Thibert's accounting cycle
Participate in the continuous improvement of the company's financial and management processes
Ensure the implementation of effective internal controls and monitor and improve internal control procedures
Analyze performance trends against budget, forecasts, etc.
Take responsibility for financial commitments, perform follow-ups and ensure compliance
Develop and monitor key metrics and performance analyses on a weekly, monthly and quarterly basis
Assist in the annual budgeting process for the P&L and balance sheet
Collaborate in audit processes (bank and year-end)
Develop and maintain strong working relationships with various departments (sales and operations), proactively identifying and resolving issues
Ensure tax compliance including preparation of government reports (sales tax filings, Statistics Canada reports, U.S. tax compliance, etc.)
Handle inventory items, foreign exchange and 3-way match
Act as direct support (backup) to the Controller for weekly or monthly reports submitted to banks
Perform any other duties related to the role.

University degree in finance or accounting
CPA designation an asset
4 to 5 years of experience in a similar role
Strong knowledge of Canadian sales taxes; knowledge of Canadian and U.S. tax laws is an asset
Bilingual in French and English, both written and spoken, required
Professionalism, integrity, autonomy and rigor
Strong organizational skills
Ability to meet deadlines
Experience in a multi-entity (multi-company) environment
Strong knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite
Knowledge of Power BI is an asset
Knowledge of ERP AX is an asset
