Responsible for accurate code assignment for physician services for reimbursement, research and compliance.
Identifies and applies diagnoses code, CPT codes and modifiers as appropriately supported by the medical record in accordance with federal regulations.
Ensures billing discrepancies are corrected.
Requirements
Certified Pro Fee Coder with CPC Credentials (RHIT or RHIA). Must be certified through AHIMA/AAPC.
Must have exceptional communication skills
Holds active CPC credential
Minimum of 2 years professional coding experience.
Proficient in ICD 10, CPT and HCPCS coding.
Strong understanding of medical terminology and anatomy.
Understanding of Reimbursement methodologies.
Strong attention to detail.
3-5 years’ experience coding Pro Fee accounts
