Perform detailed in process and final inspections on machined parts, composites, and complex assemblies to verify compliance with engineering drawings, specifications, and contractual requirements.
Perform final data package review per contractual requirements for final electronic acceptance with stamp warranty.
Apply advanced Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) knowledge to validate product conformity.
Utilize a variety of inspection tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers, height gages, visual aids, and other precision measurement instruments).
Interpret and analyze engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications to ensure proper inspection coverage.
Collaborate with assigned Supplier Quality Engineers (SQEs) and Quality Managers to resolve non-conformances, drive corrective actions, and support continuous improvement.
Support supplier quality activities, which may include travel across the country for on-site inspections, sometimes with immediate deployment.
Ensure compliance with all internal procedures, customer requirements, and applicable industry standards.
Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 6 years of prior relevant quality inspector experience.
Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related quality inspector experience.
In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior related quality inspector experience.
Minimum of 4 years of prior relevant quality inspection experience in aerospace or a highly regulated industry.
Ability to conduct short-notice, on-site supplier inspections nationwide.
Prior aerospace industry experience supporting supplier quality or source inspection activities.
