About this role
Role Overview
Carry out planned maintenance activities in line with O&M schedules and OEM requirements
Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on solar PV systems, including panels, inverters, switchgear, combiner boxes, and monitoring systems and all associated parts not itemised not exclusive to Ground mount and Rooftop installations
Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical & monitoring faults to minimise downtime and restore system performance and efficiency
Respond to reactive callouts and fault alarms, including breakdowns and system failures
Where applicable Conduct electrical testing and inspection (e.g. IV curve tracing, insulation resistance, thermal imaging etc)
Support commissioning, decommissioning, and warranty activities as required
Maintain and uphold Low Carbon Energy’s high standards for Quality, Health, Safety & Environment (QHSE) and ensure all work is carried out in compliance with regulation, method statements, and risk assessments, this includes updating dynamic RAMS where applicable
Maintain accurate service reports, maintenance records, and fault logs
Liaise with the O&M manager and operations team to resolve issues on time and as cost effective as possible
Complete site Surveys to aid the sales/design teams with future projects, in line with this training will be given where needed
Complete all required service documentation accurately and on time.
Requirements
Electrical and Solar PV O&M experience is essential
18th edition BS7671 & Testing and inspection 2931 qualifications are essential
Strong understanding of HV, LV and Scada systems essential
