Oversees day-to-day Support functions related to all aspects of Traditional and/or SUP/SUP Connect workflow
Ensures adherence to state and federal regulations
High emphasis on quality of proposed insured input, time service, proper retention management, policy reconciliation and/or reporting/billing functions
USMM Underwriting reporting function including customizing, developing, validating, and managing data through extensive use of reporting tools such as SQL
Liaison between Underwriting Management and Actuarial department
Performs management duties for associates
Fosters a positive and engaged work environment
Oversees and/or leads monthly auditing process
Gathers data, analyzes outcomes and communicates results in a timely manner
Leads and manages highly confidential and key support functions
Collaborates with various internal departments as appropriate
Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent related work experience (minimum 8 years)
5 to 8 years’ experience in insurance, reinsurance or financial services
2 years of experience in using SQL and Microsoft Excel
Demonstrates an ability to lead, mentor and develop associates in a customer service focused environment
Highly advanced oral and written communication skills
Highly advanced investigative, analytical and problem-solving skills utilizing experience, research, guidelines and internal resources
Advanced ability to comprehend and interpret insurance and contract documents and applying it to meeting clients’ needs
Advanced knowledge of broad business practices
Advanced skills in managing multiple tasks and projects simultaneously
Ability to analyze and improve business processes with skills to implement change
Preferred 1 to 3 years’ Management experience working towards ACS, ARA, FLMI or other relevant professional designation
1 to 3 years’ experience with Excel Visual Basic, TOAD and Business Objects
Highly Advanced SQL writing, Excel and Pivot Table skills
