Ensure cultural relevance and sensitivity by adapting content appropriately for regional audiences.
Review and edit localized content for accuracy, consistency, and quality.
Support the maintenance of glossaries, style guides, and terminology databases.
Work with localization QA teams to identify and resolve linguistic bugs in-game.
Provide feedback on localization pipelines and suggest improvements for efficiency and quality.

Native-level fluency in the target language
A graduate qualification in translation, linguistics, or language studies, OR
A graduate qualification in another field plus 2 years of full-time professional translation experience, OR
5 years of full-time professional translation experience.

In depth and practical understanding of the nuances and considerations of translating the following gaming content types: UlContent/menus, Mission text, Non-Player Character (NPC) ambient dialogue, Locked cutscene subtitle blocks.
Transcreation experience specifically within the gaming sector, translating crime fiction for games.
An in-depth understanding of the Cosa Nostra (Sicilian Mafia) in the 1900’s.
Experience translating the specific jargon of organized crime, turn of the turn-of-the-century firearms and vehicles.
Familiarity with game engines and localization pipelines.
Knowledge of scripting formats (e.g., XML, JSON) is a plus.
Passion for video games, especially sports, action, or narrative-driven titles.
