About this role
Role Overview
Provide individual therapy sessions to clients with various mental health needs (target: 25–30 billable sessions/week)
Conduct biopsychosocial assessments and develop individualized treatment plans using evidence-based frameworks (DBT, CBT, trauma-informed approaches, etc.)
Facilitate group therapy or psychoeducational groups as assigned
Utilize evidence-based therapeutic techniques (EMDR, DBT, SE, IFS etc) to facilitate client progress.
Maintain accurate and confidential client records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive care.
Conduct regular assessments to evaluate client progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
Facilitate workshops and participate in community tabling events to promote mental wellness.
Stay current with best practices in therapy and attend ongoing professional development.
Participate in Bi-weekly team meetings and practice initiatives
Contribute to community programming, workshops, or circles as capacity allows
Engage warmly and professionally with clients, referral partners, and community members
Requirements
Active New York State licensure: LCSW, LMSW, LMHC, LMFT (no associates or pre-licensed candidates at this time)
Minimum 2 years of post-licensure clinical experience
Demonstrated experience with trauma-informed care and at least one evidence-based modality (DBT, CBT, EMDR, CPT, etc.)
Experience working with diverse populations, including BIPOC communities
Strong written documentation skills; experience with EHR systems
Strong understanding of various therapeutic modalities and mental health issues.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
Compassionate demeanor with a genuine desire to help others.
Preferred Bilingual (Spanish or Haitian Creole)
Experience with substance use treatment (SUD certification a plus)
Experience with working with children/families and couples
Background in community mental health, outpatient, or group practice settings
Comfort with telehealth platforms and hybrid care delivery
