Support the coordination of interrelating activities of trade partners, suppliers, vendors, and customers, design, and engineering efforts
Responsible for organizational, leadership, communication, management, and problem-solving skills on the project(s)
Monitor and report on the financial status of the project(s) and is responsible for subcontract and contract administration
Heavy involvement in the development of job progress schedule to ensure actual construction parallels with the schedule
Purchase and monitor delivery of all needed materials for the projects ensuring optimum prices, quality, and conformance to specifications
Negotiate contracts with trade partners and vendors for their trade scope of responsibility
Evaluate change order requests from trade partners in a timely fashion
Work with design and engineering teams to ensure projects are designed, procured, and constructed within operating guidelines while conforming to technical requirements and ensuring customer satisfaction.
Prepare and present reports to successfully manage project(s) such as monthly red files, progress analysis/schedules, billings, status reports, etc.
Organize and maintain job files to ensure continuity of workflow
Review shop drawings and submittals to ensure compliance with scope of work for their scope of responsibility
May be responsible for estimating efforts relative to the project(s) and proposal preparation efforts.
Responsible for the communication, implementation, and enforcement of Gray’s safety and quality programs on site.
Requirements
Minimum of six years of experience in construction management
Technical knowledge and experience supporting projects in a Project Manager I role or equivalent
Successfully completed at least two projects in a Project Manager I role or equivalent
Preference for candidates with a bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or Architecture
Advanced computer skills including Microsoft Office, mobile devices, and innovative programs/software provided by Gray.
